silicon archaeology
is anyone out there interested in picking up 650 square feet of early 90s pc computers and various parts for free?
mostly from 486 - pentium, and including a couple of aisles of sturdy grocery store-type shelving...
but you gotta take it all if you want any of it!

also, does anyone have any decent vehicles for sale?
i am thinking seriously about joining the volvo cult...
but i am willing to look into any available options.

the odometer stopped at 293,000 miles about 5 years ago.
i stopped driving it because the check brakes light came on and my mom gave me another volvo. so i didn't get it fixed.
then i forgot about it for a while and the battery died. i found out there wasn't anything wrong with the brakes and then the only thing wrong with it was tat the blinker switch was broken(cheap fix).
so it's maybe gonna need a tune up and that switch fixed, a back window and that's pretty much it.
i loved that car. i just decided i didn't want to love it anymore. we broke up. what can i say.

...he never could bring himself let go of it all.
but now he wants it out of his garage,
so he can rent the space as an apt.

over 100kmiles...mechanical is great! cosmetic issues...
let me double check with ash about price... his parents gave us the car for our wedding when they bought a new car. They were the original owners and took great and anal care of the car.

there are stacks of processors, racks of motherboards, a few laptops, a bunch of software, many peripheral devices...
but i don't recall if there are many modems; so, i'll ask him this weekend!

I dont think I'd be able to store the shelving, sadly, but I could definitely find places for the other equipment. Either way though, I am sure I could do SOMETHING with those shelves, barring putting them to the curb. Do you deliver? I am still sans transport. And the equipment you've described would be perfect for the projects I've been undertaking.
